Dashpot on a 1987 Merc 25

I put the powerhead back together after over a year and I don' t remember where the dashpot goes. If some one out there has one and can take a picture I would appreciate it.

Here is the dashpot on a 1986 25XD Mercury engine...
(vacuum motor dampener to let throttle down easy when you crack the throttle so it doesn't suck water backwards in the exhuast cavity???)
