That's a real nice list of boats to have for just one small club.

we don't have anything like that in the west London area or I would be thinking of getting me one of those hulls and have a go at that.

what sort of average speeds are you getting in this class of racing ?

anything from 45mph up to about 70mph for the 70 Yams
we sometimes have a few boats spare if you want to try, next rally is this Sunday but I am away at the moment and then the next one is Sunday 6th October
Or your nearest club is Lowestoft - they have a web page but mainly run F2 & F4 cats and we have bought the majority of Bristol's from them.

We used to be a huge club for Offshore Powerboats and Water Ski-ing - now currently only about 40 members but as you can see from the list we all have a couple of boats each - I currently have 2 hulls for sale, 1 x Concorde and 1 x Bristol (no trailers)

what mods are needed for the Yamaha 70hp to make 70mph !!!!
I do understand the boats are ultra lightweight.

No mods, just a good set up with boat and engine and prop, right mix of oil and petrol
add a bit of trim (balast or weights) and there you go:

    Hi,

I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm but the World Record for T850 is 65.85 mph set at Coniston in 2008 by Tom Gilderdale in a Tornado / Yamaha a former member of our club in Lancashire.
The nearest club to West London is Stewartby, nr Bedford just off Jct 13 of the M1.
The final round of the British Championship is there this weekend where you will be able to see a mixture of boats from GT15 ( 9 - 16 year olds ) up to F2 with speeds ranging from 40mph to 120mph,
Further details of all the classes raced are available on www.powerboatgp.co.uk

Been looking at the video's again and on you tube, looks very good.
Is this T850class restricted for just Yamaha engines now ?

No, as you can see from our list we have other engines,. but more Yams than anything, that way spares become a bit easier as someone is always stripping down an engine etc - we have a couple of good Stingers that run really well.

Apologies to Taffy97 - I forgot about Stewartby!

How do you tell a VP 75, from a T750 or T850? Do you race three races, or do you race each class separately?
