    Default reeds not sealing????

I was doin some work on my motor yesterday and thought i'd pull the plugs and do a comp test.
when I was pulling it over,it made a croaking sound coming out the carbs.never done this before.could this be air pushing back through the reeds?
when I run the motor,no fuel sprays back out the carbs.
i'm running ccms reeds in it.
the motor has been a bit slow out of the hole lately ,but once it up and runnin ,it still goes hard.

Maybe the (plastic, carbon?) reeds are frayed? If easy to inspect look at them?

Yep or the reed cage needs to be lapped as the rubber invariably swells around the mounting screws
