cdm vs switchbox

hi,im recently building a mercury 60hp seapro.and im thinking of covert it to cdm ignition. I needs advice what is the advantage pro and con between the newer mercury cdm igniton over the switchbox system.Is the cdm good for racing as well as the older switchbox system? Hope someone will help. regard david.
