Default 56ci custom cnc'd adapter plate and tuner for 49 stinger swap

    Hi all,
This is my first post here although I've been looking around on here for a good year or so and spent 100's of hours I'm sure, reading a lot of info on this site. Lots of great stuff here. I race T-850 here in Canada and I designed and machined up some adapter plates to convert the 56ci to the 49.7 short shaft stinger mids. In case some of you might be interested, I thought I'd put them up here. These are the same thickness as the original 49 adapter plate so there is no loss of drive shaft engagement. The tuners are interchangeable, and with a slight mod to the mid housing, you can actually swap tuners by pulling the lower unit off and taking out the tuner bolts if you choose to although it is a little tricky. These are made to fit the stock hood. I don't have an SST-60 so I don't know what would be required to make an SST-60 hood fit on it. Steering bolts right up to the plate so no need for solid upper mounts. There is a second set of tapped holes to mount your wing plates on so the powerhead bolts don't need to come out. They will fit your regular 49/56 bolt pattern wingplates. The water tube is sealed off by an internal O-ring in the plate. The tube just slides in. You will have to find some copper tube the same size (I just took mind out of a longshaft motor) bend and cut it to the right length to fit this. Stock one will not work. I have made them to SST-60 sizes. Prices are $320US for the plate and $115US for the SST-60 style tuner. If you wish to make your own tuner I can sell the flange you can weld on to for $13US. Here are some pictures... First picture shows to outlet holes for the water but that was changed to 1.

Thanks. All done on the CNC. I have a full machine shop here. I'll get a couple more recent pictures up. The welding is much nicer looking now. I've been making some other parts here and there as well when I've got the time.

Nice work. I would be interested in purchasing a couple and would need to be shipped to Australia. Would you ship to Australia. I am also chasing OMC 15 in complete midsections or part midsections and also complete nitro gearboxes with the 15:28 gear ratio. Do you have any of these for sale or know of anyone who may be interested in seeling these and shipping to Australia and what $ would you be looking at?

Thank you. I'm sure we could ship out that way for you. Unfortunately I don't have any mids or lowers that I'm willing to sell. PM me your info and we'll figure something out. Thanks,
