Etec 150 mods

2008 ETEC 150...Anybody know anything that can be done to the etec without the computer on it freaking out. Its on my bowfishing rig so not looking for anything radical just trying to outrun the other lead sleds to the fishing holes in tourneys. Im running right at 50 and trying to get more out of it but the more I look into it the more I'm thinking about selling the motor to get something I can work with. All this emission control stuff is too much like the fun police.
