Darrell's boats if built to plans are usually very light. My first CSR, a Long Haul, marathon boat was very light. I had to add 37lbs to make minimum weight. I weighed only 164 lbs when I had this boat. It wasn't the best turning boat, an early version since upgraded, but as far as rough water goes could be driven very fast with little fear of it doing something stupid. I now have a later version which turns alot better. It was built by a friend for himself, so he took some liberties, made it longer and heaver. I have retired from boat racing and I now use it as a lake racer with a 55H Merc on it. Both of these were/are roll ups and I admit I am not that great at driving a roll up. I think alot of it comes from not being heavy enough to muscle them around.
