Default June and Earl Palmer: Movers and Shakers in Outboard Racing

Last Wednesday, December 10, 2014, June Palmer, wife of Earl Palmer and owner of Stylecraft Boats, passed away and was wandering if you might remember her and want to spread the word to the boating world, as she and Earl were very involved with outboard boat racing through the 1950's, 60's and 70's, especially in the building of the innovative Stylecraft catemarans that so many early day racers used back in the 1960's. Marylou Hynes, ex-wife of George Hynes lives in Lake Havasu City and was very close to June and Earl and is working on an obituary for June and could be contacted to provide a copy if you might be interested in helping to get the word out on her passing. Both Earl, who passed in 1976 and June, who just passed was very instrumental in the success and running of McCulloch's Outboard World Championship Boat Race and the inaugural years of the revised Lake Havasu Classic through the 1970's. I can get you in touch with Marylou or you can email me at the above address if you might be interested. Thanks, for your consideration !!

    Butch Wood,
past Race Director of the Havasu Sports Federation
and Havasu Classic Boat races 1979 - 1988
