What kind of Allison? Cable/Pulley if its a race boat.

I prefer cable as you get a better feel for the boat.

Cable pulley steering is the only way to go, If anyone is interested I have one of Larrys race boats for sale. Its the yellow one, hull and seat with a new set back plate and trailer never rigged. Too many projects and not enough time!

Little charger where is the best place to find cable steering parts here in Ontario?
What amount of set back works well?
