40 merc 4 stroke

I have a 2012 40 merc 4 stroke on a 1652 excel I hear rumors that I can use a bigfoot for this motor I am looking to haul a load a little better and better top speed !

I was also told to run a 4 blade on the boat any help or advice will be much appreciated

Speed now is 31-33ish no tach and a beat up 15 p no name stainless prop

Goal is 40 mph and to be able to haul a load

A 4 blade and bigger gear case will add extra drag and less speed. You probably need more power to achieve 40 mph?
