    Default Transom wedge

I'm about to fab a bracket to give my Aquarius transom some negative trim. Right now I can't quite get zero trim or get the motor lower without cutting the part of the transom bracket that runs horizontal. Notice I've already butchered the motor clamp/bracket to rid it of the trim assembly and one of the adjustment bolt holes.

Anyone have a better idea than welding together an angled version of a setback bracket?

Make a two wooden wedges that will mount between the boat and the engine. or use washers.

Just put a couple of washers between the transom bracket and transom on the top 2 bolts
I found running 3* of positive trim worked best for top speed on my Aquarius and 55 merc

You get special wedges for that - https://www.specialistsmallcraft.co....transom-wedges
Not sure if they’d fit your engine but worth asking
