    Default 1994 PRO Nationals

Did you race in the 1994 PRO Nationals , did you finish a heat , then maybe you will find your name in these. I found them in a 1994 DePue race program I just received. I love collecting this stuff!!

Default How Do The Score Races at DePue

So, they run three heats of say six boats. Then, you take the top two from each heat and run six boats in the final???

Explain to me the point system or how they do it?

    Default eliminations

If there are more then 12 boats registered, they split the field in to 2 heats of 12 or whatever the numbers of boats are over 12 in half. They get their normal APBA points for each heat. Those with the most points per 2 heats up to a maximum of 12 boats made up of the most points for each set of eliminations move on to the finals. They move on to a one heat final. Points for the 3 heats count toward who wins. I've also seen it where there were single heat eliminations then the top 12 move on to a two heat final. Points for all 3 heats count unlike SO where the points only count for the final heats. Years ago we ran one heat eliminations & one heat finals. Less confusing.
