Default British Anzani Motors and parts

    Hi All

I recently unboxed one complete and parts of Anzani power heads. My father raced quarter midgets in Ohio during the 50's. And used these as well as Indian 250cc motorcycle motors. I have no idea how much interest there is in these. I'm going to post pictures and would welcome any feed back.
    Thank you
    Jimmy

Well, since somebody should respond to a new guy's post, Hi, Jimmy!! Interesting photos and story. I didn't know the midget racers knew about these engines, tho' I'd seen a photo in Hot Rod magazine some time in the '60s of a California kart racer named Tom Spaulding who was running dual 250cc water-cooled Anzanis. FWIW to anyone, British Anzani developed an air-cooled version of their outboard powerhead in the early '50s that was used by a couple of the little motorcycle manufacturers in England. Anyway, if you're trying to sell the parts, you could re-post in the section for that. Take a measurement of the cylinder bore diameter and we can tell you if those are 250cc or 350cc units.

Jimmy, if you wanted to restore your dad's racemotor as a cool conversation piece for your man-cave, go back to the Home page, then scroll down to the Boat Racing Encyclopedia sub-forum and look down the "Sticky" threads until you get to "James Diedrich Hallum". One guy with a lot of posts there is an old machinist and gear-head named Russ Rotzler, posting as "OldRJexSea". Direct him to these photos and ask your questions. Now that Jim Hallum is gone, his friend Russ is one of two guys who knows more about building racing Anzanis than probably anyone in the world.
Thanks Jimmy thanked for this post
