E-mail from Mike... I was an original member of the "Mercury Racing Team" back in the early seventies. Also ran for Evinrude and Johnson. I ran races like Havasu, Paris 6 hour, Windemere Grand Prix, etc. The early days of outboard tunnel and v-hull racing. I drove team boats to victories at Paris in 1971. I drove a Johnson rotary outboard to victory, with the help of co-driver Tommy Posy, at Wendemere England in 1973. Maybe I can help with some history while I still remember that stuff.
