    Default pitch question

I have several props and some are unmarked, I dont have a pitch guage but have carpenters angle tool and speed square. If I check the angle of known pitches against unmarked ones will this be a reasonable measurement considering they might be different types of prop? And where on the blades is best to check? Thanks.

If they are all pretty close to the same diameter and you measure them the same way, yes, measuring that way will give you at least a rough guess on the pitch. If I recall correctly pitch is usually measured at about 70% radius.

Measure the side of the blade that is away from the boat, not the front
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.
