    Default Twister Parts

Iam restoring a 1971 Mercury twister racing outboard. Since I got this motor in pieces and my memory is not that good ( I race a Twister in UJ class in 1977) The plug wires have to go around the intake side on the block. The plug wires I got with the engine wont reach. Were the Twister plug wires longer? Does any one have a set of these longer plug wires? Also i need the gaskets for the exhaust log. Can anyone help?

Any Merc shop with the crimping tool can make a custom set of wires. You can probably get www.oldmercs.com to make them up if there isn't a dealer near you with the distributor ends and the tool.
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.
