That boat was for sale few years back, I almost bought it, its nice looking boat. Sorry to hear for your loss, what happened?
Hi Spin,
I guess that depends which cock pit you were in..... I came out of the first corner in front on the inside and next thing I knew a fellow competitor was taking out the starboard deck. I'm missing most of the right side of the boat.
Hate to see it as a total loss. wish somebody that builds boats would take it on as a winter project. It is a great boat!
Are You Trying To Sell It Or Just Get It Repaired??
Largecar:
I was actually just trying to post a picture. I couldn't get any of my boat pics to post over the last week so I tried the old Burgess and it worked.....?
The starboard side of the boat is pretty much gone as is the rear cowl. I have a glass replacement rear cowl. I'm not going to do anything with the boat, so I guess it's for sale. wanna buy it?
No thanks. I have enough projects as it is. Burgess made nice boats. Good craftsmanship! If one sponson is good, it can be splashed to make the other one. A lot of work though. If it were not for the sentimental value, It would probably be as cheap to replace it. I know when I built my current race boat, I think sometimes it would have been cheaper to have bought a new one.
I know someone that can fix that boat no problem has cowl molds. Kenny is his name PH 252-258-1694
Is that Ken Adams in Washington, NC?Originally Posted by jimsummers
