Default Nostalgia Jet Class Finals! @ Lake Ming, Bakersfield Oct 6th & 7th

An Open Invitation - Nostalgia Jet Class Finals!

As many of you know, the Bakersfield SCSC 2007 Season Finals are coming up on October 6th and 7th at Lake Ming. This will be the final race for the Nostalgia Jet Class of the 2007 points season. This race will have some new participants out there including Rick Ortega (lilrick) and Harold Bruce (R&D Marine).

The points race is very close! Jim Rich (Squirtin Thunder) is trailing behind Ralph Brunt (rwyyattb) by 10 points with Omar Archuleta (beerjet) following not too far behind in 3rd place.

Here are the current driver point standings for the class:

    Ralph Brunt (rwyyattb - cj812): 645 Points
Jim Rich (Squirtin Thunder - cj72): 635 Points
    Omar Archuleta (beerjet - cj22): 500 Points
    David Carrasco (cj277): 340 Points
    Nick Valore (cj410): 285 Points
    Toby Clark (cj53): 170 Points
    Terry Valore (cj410): 95 Points

As the newly appointed representative of the class, I, Brad Martin invite everyone to come out and show some support. Even if it means just to come out and have a good time. Swing by, say hi, and watch some racing. This class is growing due to the large amount of comradery amongst the racers. Yes, there is points at stake, but everyone is here for one reason - a good time.

Currently, we are anticipating the following lineup of racers participating at this event:

    1. Ralph Brunt in his cj812 pink Hornet
    2. Omar Archuleta in his cj22 blue Saguaro
    3. Nick Valore in his cj410 purple Rogers
    4. Rick Ortega in his cj32 blue Liberty
    5. Jim Rich in his cj72 yellow Sanger
    6. Toby Clark in his cj53 white Cucci
    7. David Carrasco in his cj288 orangeSleekcraft
    8. Harold Bruce (TBD)

There is still one or two racers I am still waiting to hear from.

Also, if anyone is interested in racing in this class, feel free to Brad Martin, we are always looking for more racers to help bring jet boats back to the circle boat racing circuit. Brad@SoCalJetBoats.com

We, as the class, hope to see this grow even bigger in the 2008 racing season starting at Parker in November!

    Default Just a heads up!!!

The person driving the red boat in the last picture needs to know that you have to have your face shield down during the race unless you have goggles on...It would suck to have a bug fly into your eye!!

Default Pretty Sure That's Roger Finney...

Roger and I are about the same age.....Some people don't know when to let others drive for you...at MY AGE....I can's see with my glasses.....put a shield in front of my glasses....Well, I'll take my changes with the BUGS....

Of the 30 years I raced, less than 10, that I wore any protection..."NEEDED TO SEE THAT WATER"....

Scott, once you hit 60 and I don't mean MPH, most of us don't buy green bananas......Savy???
