    Default Sponson Tips

    Who makes tips that will fit a 1991 Grand Prix sport C boat? Also, what company is making these boats now? Any help would be great.

    Grand Prix Boats is built by Bruce Buorquin in the Sacramento, California area.
    I dont know that he has the molds still for the older Grand Prixs. Some of the newer boats may be the same, you would have to talk with him.

    Default Tips

    Hi there,

    Brian Tabara has the molds to make tips for that year of Gran Prix as well. They are not the original part, but look sweet. He also has a mold for a killer looking rear cowl for that boat. Here is his info.

    I did redesign the rear cowling to the Gran Prix boat. I encourage if you do need a replacement parts to talk to Bruce Bourqin and see what he has first.
    If he no longer has the molds, I'd be happy to lay up a set of tips, or a cowl.
    My cowling is a dip down, I've found to help on the side winds greatly; but they do not fit all gran prix capsules. If you send a photo of your boat, I can tell you if it will fit. My mold is 8 1/2' long. But once again, I ask that you go to Bruce first if he offers them...
    Bruce is a very talented boat builder and designer;
    Thanks.

    Default Let's Make A Trade

    As Mayor Jim's MANAGER, it seems to me, you should trade him your BLACK, light weight Sport C boat, back to Jim for his 2006 Dago Fast Sport C boat. His boat has reinforced cockpit sides, and legal pickel forks...and the weght is closer to FAT "C" weight...
