    Default Need Outboard Display Stands

Does anyone know who makes a nice engine stand for displaying small outboard race engines? I'm looking for a pedestal stand that is lighter weight aluminum and that would break down for mobility. I want a stand for shows that is nice enough looking that you could use it in the most distinguished museums.

If you have a name or web site address, please post it here.

    thanks,

Back in the 80s or 90s I got one from Mike Butler at Mercury that clamps to the cavitation plate to hold the motor. Mine would hold a V6 race motor but it has a Sport C on it now. It doesn't have a name on it but maybe Mike would know who made it.
It's bent tubing that bolted together. I don't know that it's museum quality but light and can be disassembled.
I think Mercury used them at the boat shows.

I don't know how much you want to spend but Johnson/Evenrude have new ones available. The one that is suited for 15-35 hp engines lists for $650. Let me know if you want one ordered.
