    Default the future

Though I never ran APBA in my young crazy years, I get to run it now when I see the gleem in KTdoodles eyes whenever we work on her boat. We striped it this weekend...lots of arguing, in a good way (Katie is as hard headed as her mom was) and when we pulled that tape about sunset time, she was drooling...It makes me work 7 day weeks so I can get into my season faster and get that gear case from Ed Runne... Then, it's gunna be Parker, and, our monthly as promised brats in the bay cooked on the Hill Grille... I'm still aiting for my wife to sell a house where the former owner was a racer and had an A gearcase in the garage....Not holding my breathe though....

You've been gone too long, Tim.

    - everyone still drinks Bud Light from the Seebold's truck after the race - the only difference is the truck is a lot bigger than it used to be.

Still don't like the four stroke thing.
Pro will not see a four stroke in the future. They are already cleaner burning than any gas engine can dream of. So, if Two Strokes are your thing, we better start building up the local ranks of Pro Outboard. Like the good old days, Pro had a lot of races locally. Might be a step to building the sport.

Of course to truly build the sport, you need people like KT and her dad. That hunger and desire are hard to beat. Get the kids involved, and truly enjoy the sport as a family.

My 8 year old can't wait to be able to race. The problem is I can't get off work for the amount of time it takes to go 12 hours or so away to race. Back when I was racing AOF we ran 9 or 10 races a summer and could leave Friday at lunch and be back at work Monday morning.

    Default Tim:

You can work to change the race sites....After we work this seasons races, one of the things we will do is have KT's Hydro at Cruise nite in Escondido to spark interest from the gear head youth. It takes tens of thousands to build a fast car....For under 5K, they can build a fast boat, get involved and have more fun than I was even thinking if any other racers are interested, pull em down and pass flyers for races, etc.....

A motors are easy to ship, Virginia is no problem. Gary Pond's stuff is top notch, you will find no better equipment.
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.
