    Hay Ron...you Ought To Get This For Jimbo...can Make It In To A Mail Box For His Front Yard..
    Its A Complete Omc Roto Race Motor Less Powerhead..i Bet There Wasn't 20 Of These Things Made..

    You are right ... there were 4 of them
    Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.

    IF THERE WHERE ONLY 4 MADE THAN SOMEONE NEED TO PUT THIS ONE SOME PLACE FOR HISTORY SAKE
    THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING MY GRAND KIDS WILL LIVE LONGER THAN BOAT RACING

    Looking at the pics, I don't think that was a part of anyones history. The bracket made inside to replace the powerhead would lead me to believe that was never a motor, that was probably part of a boat show exhibit. When those were made they were incomplete as could be to reduce shipping weight, the gearcase may be empty also.

    Do You Know If Any Of These Eng's Still Exist? At Lest One Should Be Saved For History Sack...they Where For Sure Way Ahead Of There Time....even If This Was A Boat Show Prop..it Needs To Keep For History...at Least To Show That Omc Was Top Dog..and I Am A Merc Man...:d :d :d

    If there were only 4 of them made the OMC race mechanics must have worked 24/7. They were known the blow up 3 or 4 of them in one race. Guess it would look cool over in the corner of the den, but without the powerhead there is not much about it.
