The RACE is NEXT MONTH!!!!

In the old Colorado River Marathon, Ted May always used safety wire to wire about two Twinkies to his dash board. He said, "He got hungry driving that far (115 miles)..."

Bob Brown of Media Direction fame, Hot Boat Magazine fame...and Powerboat fame...I heard this second hand, but Bob was racing in an Ocean Race with Ted being his "Rider", Bob looks over and Ted is unwrapping a sandwich (In the middle of the race)....A little while later, he was peeling an orange...If you knew Ted May, then...this would surprize no one!!!

Of course, by now everyone knows that the 36 Runabout drivers used to DRINK BEER during thier Marathon Races...

So, be careful when you talk about eating Twinkies between heats.....Some of us LIKE Twinkies!!!! Not everyone can deep fry 19 turkeies in a day....Like Maximus...can....Have these "SPIKES" passed safety inspection???

The twinkies, spikes & 19 turkeys were all certified legal by Rod & Ted! Spikes were limited to one side only but none the less... I like to have about 25 cocktails after the race is over! I think that is the best part of the weekend is running around the pits getting a buzz & sharing stories with your amigos!!!! Last year grich & I were laughing at each other when we both came together on the beach shortly after breaking both boats... he asked me & I the same... what happend??? both answers... It broke! Reply... ohhh??? Hey how about a burrito & a cocktail! Sure! Ok! Lets go sit & watch those poor bastards beat them selves to death...

Good times ahead gentlemen! These are what memories are made of...

Bring on what ever loud piped, spike twerling, missle shooting thing you got. The score is tied one a piece. I'm running solo this year and I think Chad is as well, so don't let the rooster tail off the outboards hit you from the shore when your gas gusling blown thing bends a valve. The best you can hope for in third. (I hope Chad is a close second) As beautiful of a boat as Plan B is, it is just that Plan B. "Old School" is going to show you how its done V bottom style.

You all seem to be forgetting the 2007 Nostalgia Jet Region 12 Champion, that will be starting way before any of you. Also we will have some special white water race deals on the boat. So yalllll hang on to your shorts we plan on making a real good showing, winning class or even the whole damn thing

Pat please do not lump me in with the likes of Maximus. I have much more class and I am a reputable racer. I ran the 300 two years ago in a Dana jet and a great time. We only made it 40 laps before the MSD took a dump but what a blast! See ya there Pat!!
