    Default Water Hook Up

Does anyone know if they make a water hook up for a #6 speedmaster gear case. I would like to run my 1990 SST 120 Merc engine on the trailer. If so where can I get one.

I've done it before. It's kind of red neck but works.
I used duct tape to point the hose directly into the bottom openings.
Then used lots more duct tape to close it up as much as I could.
It worked for me. It's definitely a one time thing. Need all new duct tape the next time.
Just be careful of the water pressure blowing it off!

Keep in mind that thing has fixed timing and it's going to rev up like crazy if you don't put a prop on it and back it down a boat ramp!

It'll be fine. I started mine on a engine stand with the duct tape water hookup! Moved the stand around a little but sure sounded cool!!

I would have a test wheel on there for sure if I was going to do that!

did you try mercury? I have one for a #4 and a #6, they both look like the mercury one for the sportmaster, made out of the same orange material, I don't even remember where I got them, also land and sea used to make them.

    Default Water Hook UP

Thanks for everyone advice. I would like to buy one so I can install and remove easily. I have not looked anywhere, I thought BRF could point me in the correct direction. Years ago when I was racing I would remove the unit and made a hook up from garden hose to cooper tube in the powerhead. Worked fine but now I am to old and lazy. I know the timing is fixed but I never had a problem with the engine racing. I set fixed timing with a timing light at about 2000 rpms.
