Thaks a bunch! This looks like just what I need - upcoming events, where, when, contacts, etc. Thanks for your help. Jim
Things have been busy this week so I didn't get the rest of the Lake Shipp pictures up until today. Yes, there are a lot more.
I consider these old, restored boats & motors to be works of art and highly collectable. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them.
thanks,
Paul A Christner

Someone had a nice display of restored Eltos. What caught my eye was the old pictures mounted on the trailer door. The pictures were dated between the 1940's to 1970's. I posted copies of a couple of them here.
Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them.

Here are more pictures from the antique outboard meet at Lake Shipp. What's nice about a wet meet is that you get to see them run too!
I must admit, I have a special affection for old Mercs, especially this beautifully restored Mark 58 with Quincy pipes.

These guys really looked like they were having fun out there on the lake with these good looking outfits.

The last picture is of R. C. Hawie and a photographer from the Winter Haven News Chief. He said he was going to do a story on the meet. The web site is www.polkonline.com for those who'd like to check it out.
R. C. is not only an antique outboard collector and historian, he is also a successful Pro 500 runabout driver. R. C. came in 2nd in points for the US title series. Congratulations R. C. -- quite an achievement!
