    The legendary racer / engine builder Ray Nydahl was sure into building extrodinary engines as is typified in 1963 by this, his creation of a Alky OMC 44 - 2 cylinder Deflector engine mated to a Mercury H series tower and Mercury Quicksilver D class lower unit. It was reported to be capable of straightway speeds exceeding 85 miles per hour in closed course racing.
