No back up motor?? Really??? Wow. All this time I thought those UIM teams were the BIG shots of formula one racing! Hmmmm....

As I once heard Michael Werner say, after hitting a log in Sacramento ('86 I think) and splitting his lower unit in half, "Vuht's dis fer schitz!?!??"

    Default not right

    hey shaun
thats just not right to bring you over and have you no back up equiptment

but look at it this way,,as we all do
you went over and had no practice and seat time to dial in the boat to you,,,
went out in 1st heat while still adjusting to it and qualified 6th without finishing the heat
got the 10 qualifier position for main with out racing next heat to get a faster time,,,which you know you would
    out of 26 entries,,,,,

now thats the shaun i know
    know you were pissed
but your 1 kick *** driver........
and they got to see that real quick
    their loss,,,,

    Default Thankyou Rainbow Team

    Guy's

While it must be a real bummer for Shaun after putting in so much effort let's not forget it's not everyone who gets the offer of an F1 DAC that a talented driver can put straight into the top ten. Fabrizio lunched an engine at an earlier middle east round and maybe there was just not time to sort a spare for Shaun. I'm sure he'll be asked back to prove once again he's right on the pace.

    Default Thanks

First, Chad i appreciate the kind words, but as far as scott goes, he has been a big help and it is not his responsibility to keep me on the water... There were some other issues within the rainbow team that led up to this.. I do not want to put on an open forum because i do not think that would be appropriate....

It is extremely hard to sit here and watch knowing i had a legitimate shot at a top 5 finish with another race still to come.....

I was really just starting to get a real feel for what the boat wanted in order to be quick... I think that is obvious when you look at my times compared to the other boat in the tent

I will still give an update today since i have alot of time on my hands, that way you guys can know what really is going on...

    Shaun

Now you made me smile, Werner still say that ! But last weekend in malaysia, that was "our" comback to racing he screamed in the radio to us all " LOOK @ DIS ******* - HE CAN RAZE" - I was taking the lead in the WC F2 final day -point is, he is still very passionate about racing - and 1 blowed up engine should not rock anys boat on this level !

    Default Too Bad

    Shaun,

It wasn't meant in a bad way about Scott, he always seemed to be a straight shooter. It probably is not the same atmosphere that we experience over here where the teams are willing to help each other out more. I can only imagine there is more to the whole thing than what we can read, especially when you flat put it on your teamate. Later,
    Chad
