J's now have there own testing time...
Somewhere her I posted about Cliff Bedford...I went by the flood Control channel today on my way home from Mexico. I made me sad to think I never raised a hand to promote or keep the channel open...
Cliff tested there for hours...I was quite a student of the game...Craig Craft hydros had hollow transomes becasue of Cliff's design...
Cliff pounded on my propeller before th 1959 DU runabout nationals in the pits, just before I went out and won the heat...never testing the prop, just believing theat Cliff knew his stuff.
Access to the flood control channel was restricted in 1968. The local residents complained about the noise. And someone was so made at the boat racers, they burned down the PPBC club house.
Use to be you could test all weekend, then sunday's were prohibited, then saturday before noon was restricted. Access to a tide chart was important.
I think it was dredged out for watercraft as an afterthought after its construction. If only some bigwig city council members were boat racers, they could of saved it.
It would fill up with all kinds of trash after a storm.
Most things I've considered and actually tired, I've lost my cheeks on...I make a few bucks on props. Most props are props I've made for between 10 and 20 years...
My NU Skeg.....about the time I get them working right, the season's over....but there is always next year.
Thank you for a wonderful propellers.
I am looking forward to the use of this propeller because of the race.
Wow how long does it take to get them hands clean![]()
How this for a Propeller Tree? Sure need a longer propshaft...
By the way, we just won the Australian Offshore Super Vee Lite class championship for 2008 with one of your 34" 3 bladers. Well done your reputation continues to grow. Thanks again. Peter.
Here's his new 4 blade....
Listing these wheels on E-Bay....unless someone needs them...
