    Default Shade in Needles???

There ain't no SHADE in Needles.... I saw 122 degrees, at Ernie Dawe's parents home at 2:30 A.M. once....

Two things to do in Needles:

    1. Go out in the desert and die of heat stroke.
    2. Get DRUNK and go out in the desert and die of heat stroke!

    Default Jimbo and Pistachios

Thanks all, for the picture taking advice....

T I think, Sam has the CORRECT answer to the problem...as I seem to take good pictures with my new camera when I don't get that yellow light just before it flashes...My pictures in the day time are clear....

Dago Fast, Pop Curtis's Ezra Brooks DOES NOT STEADY you hand...Trustme, as I found out at San Diego last September...But that stuff is good!!!!!

Mercmack, Mercguy and Roy....Thanks for the Needles stories...I thought as long as THIS IS MY THREAD...I'll tell a Jimbo and Cathy McConnell story.

Seems Jimbo and I were talking...Cathy had asked me something about her and Jimbo's wedding....I said I wasn't there...Cathy brought pictures of the wedding and I WAS IN THE WEDDING....Anyway, I was asking Jimbo how long he'd been married and he said something about 40 years.....

Then, I asked him if he and Cathy argued...He said generally, he had enough brains to keep his mouth shut but sometime when she goes shopping and only buys one bag a pistachios he gets mad....Like he said, "When you are eating pistachios, why would you only have one bag?" So, as I was eating pistachios in my kitchen, I thought I'd try my camera skills again....

See, I ALWAYS buy two bags of pistachios...as I would never want to run out when I was eating them....Jimbo and I see eye to eye on a lot of things....One thing we both agee on, he's been lucky that he's had Cathy as his wife for 40 years....

Top two pictures are with flash...Bottom is John Schubert's 45 gearcase.....no flash!

Roy's idea of a tri pod is still a good idea, though...

Tis the season for folly!!!! Deck the halls with advertisment!!!!

    Default Cameras & pictures

A general question : does ANYBODY but me miss the shutter release that could be screwed into the 35 mm FILM cameras for remote release . with a wire or air bulb type? i sure miss them . I guess that if one places a digital camera on a tri pod, and uses a time delay , then all camera shake could be avoided . I like the digitals, but NOTHINS perfect.
