    Default Shift shaft 1981 60hp OMC

    I been asked to water pump a 2 cyl. 60hp evinrude, havn't played with OMC before, only my own Mercs, Tohatsu and Yamaha.
    I've had a quick look and shift is mechanical but i would like to know how to release it. havn't got a manual, wish i did, but not my motor.
    Any clues????? Please

    should have a bolt, up-under the lower carb, shift rod stays with the lower unit,

    Gearbox off, now if i can just convince the supplier to send the correct parts i should be able to whack it back together.
