All I can say right now is OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OHMYGOD!

I'm just speechless~! I never dreamed I'd get to watch the 1969 Paris 6 hour...in COLOR no less. And how cool is it to see Cesare Scotti again!!!!!
I sent the link to his son....he was only 9 when he died. This is PRICELESS! THANK YOU!

I could not find the page, but, there was a logo used from the early years, i think the 20's where an engine was vertical, and there was a horizontal cross bar inside of a circle.

Then fast forward to the 50's. On the front of each side cover, they used a circle medallion with a simple cross inside...Just curious, but was that the evolution of their logo to a more modern design?

    Hi Ken!!

I just shared the files with Massimo Scotti (the late Cesare Scotti's son, who was killed at Paris in 1974) and this was the message I got back from him:

    My God: that's fantastic !!!!!
    Thank's a bunch: a very great gift !!!!
Do you think that it's possible to get a file? I would like to let show to my mother. It's not possible to save this INCREDIBLE SURPRISE !!!!
    I weep for joy.
    Fondly,
    Massi

His mother (Cesare's widow) is not doing so well, and I know he'd love to share this with her. Is it possible to send these (Paris) files to him?

Thank you SO MUCH for loading that for us! What a fantastic thing!

What excellent footage, and wouldn't it be a wonderful story if Massimo's mother get's to see it too.

Massi just told me that his mother (Anna Maria) is actually in the footage too! In video #4 (midway), she can be seen rolling up Cesare's jacket hood to fit under his life jacket's skid collar.

I just can't imagine how amazing it would feel to see your dad and mom on such a clear video like this - especially if your father had been gone 34 years! Gives me chills thinking about it!

Cesare was such an important figure in my young life too - he was my first "boat racing hero" back when I was around 8-10 years old (Havasu 1968-1973). I colored pictures of his boat, and when I was 17, even named our St Bernard "Cesare".

My own tears fell when I watched these videos. Fantastic!

I would be most honored to give these memories back to you. This is the very reason that my sites exist. It is important to collect but more important to SHARE these wonderful memories. We are all getting older & if these things are not saved & shared they will be lost forever. If you want to help me preserve these memories please contact me. My email is kenfin2006@yahoo.com.au or you can IM me through this forum.

If you want copies please advise a Name & address & what format you would like them in. I can send them to you on DVD or CD in either WMA format or as a DVD video. WMA is the most convenient as you can watch them on a computer.

No I have not seen it. Does anyone have it? I bet Carl K gathered all of them up & burnt them on the sacrificial bonfire together with the Evinrude V4. He made a habit of that. I do have a picture somewhere.
