Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.
The video is about 45 minutes, some from both days. Does not have the very beginning of the race because Backfire was scoring for one of the Wings that dropped out. When it dropped out, he picked up the camera and shot the film he recently converted to video/DVD

I don't know who this is or what kind of boat it is. Maybe someone can tell us. One of many triple engine rigs
to run at Havasu in '69 ... this was the only one to consistently run in the
top 10 both days. Looks like it might even be a V bottom.

#33 is Cesare Scotti, winner of the 1969 Havasu Outboard World Championships. Ran 10 X 17 Record two blade propellers, Evinrudes, Molinari Twin WOOD HULL.
#114 is Ron Brown from Ft. Collins, Colorado, Schultz Boat.
#99 Bill Sirois, Twin wood Molinari, "Up, Up and Away"
#30 is Jimbo McConnell, Single Engine winner, as I recall, Molinari/Evinrude
#32 is THE GREAT FRED HAUENSTEIN (Leek/McDonald hull).
#34 is Ted May driving what Jimbo calls "THE FREIGHT TRAIN" (Leek/McDonald hull).
#119 Kenny Kitson, Switzer Wing.
#101 is the "Ice Man", Harold Eis, three time winner, Sytle-Craft Cat, redesigned byHarold Eis.
#X-50 Lou Burnett, triple Jones, was killed a few years back in a helicoter crash on his own property..taking people hunting.
Black Triple Jones is Billy Don Pruitt
#5 is Bob George from Ft. Collins, Colorado...May have been the first day leader..Homemade boat, a reverse three point hull.
#174 is a Glastron with Triple Chryslers, driven by Neil Spratt.
