Default Pit shots from Eastern Divisionals 1977 Springfield,Ill.

Springfield PRO Eastern Divisionals was two months after Debbie and I got married and one month after I got out of the hospital for pnuemonia. Yeah, got back from our honeymoon and went straight into the hospital. We had a wonderful time at Springfield. It was the first time since the Nationals the previous year that we had seen a lot of these guys. Do you know who they are?

I finally have had a chance to look at all the pics. Great shots of the old days, when I was to young to remember or even think about racing.

    Default Walt LaSalle's Flying Tiger

Jeff, are you talking about the boat that Karl Williams is handling? I was wondering who the blonde headed guy was working around the flywheel. I can't remember. He kind of resembels Jerry Parrot, but I think Jerry quit racing several years before that.

Re. Winona MN, I can remember the races there in 1976. I was only 7 years old. that is a great race site. I would also like to see another race there some day. It's close to home. How about it Badger state Outboards?

It's my uncle Jim Leyde. That was his secound Pro nat's. His first was in Winona in 76. His outboard days where short. We went to 145 inboards in 1979 or there abouts.

Default This clue should provide the answer

Doug--I am putting together some information for Mike Ward, and the only thing I lack for the UIM World Championships in Phoenix 1976 is Rex's make of hydro. I can make out Hydros and Renton, Wa. on the side, but the logo isn't clear. Can you help me?
