Lars...that is the type of photo that a professional photojournist would take. Your photo tells the story.

BTW...What an incredibly beautiful peace of property you have with those rolling hills and little waterfilled lakes.

Lars- It is sad when you open up a boating magazine and see all the rice burners powering the boats. Some do show a Merc or two and VERY FEW Evinrude, although I have noticed them showing up a little bit more. Need BRP to step up to the plate and push the Evinrude brand.

    Thank you Wayne,

Our place is very nice, but its a full time job to maintain.

    About my photo,

My dream is to see America full of Chevy's and Fords again, Mercury and Evinrude outboards,
Champion Spark Plugs etc and all the other good US products that made my dreams possible.

Well, its politics and I better stay out of that.

    Update,

My next racing story is about the 1975 racing season.
Starts with the 24 Hours of Rouen race, and a bad crash testing at OMC in Bruges, Belgium.

I have asked Hans Holmen for some help translating and he is pretty busy now, but coming soon

Default Video from the F1 V8 Race Stockholm Sweden 1983-84

    This is from Swedish TV,
Swedish only, but lots of racing to look at.

Right click, and Save Target As...

Maybe you need this to see the video, I am not sure.
Please, let me know if it works or not.

    Default Leif Ahlborg

    Wayne,

I have about 50 Racing stories on the Swedish Power Boat Federations
home page and I made a short story about Wayne asking about Leif
    Ahlborg.

This morning there was a answer from Leif, and here it is......
    __________________________________________________ _______________
    Kul Lasse

    Leif Ahlborg

Yes, I know it is impossible to understand but all very good reading and I am
going to try to translate, but that is next post

    Well Wayne,

Maybe I should ask you first what you believe Leif is writing...

It is about the Baldwin Family and Texas, the oil business and who is the best driver....

Hans Holmen is really busy right now, and no time to translate at this moment.

All my stories are really good, true an fun, but it is very hard for me
to make them as good in English so please understand, I need more time.

I am looking for someone to help me.

Thanks for the letter from Leif, Lars. If it was in German I could have a pretty good idea, but I never tried Swedish. I got your PM. My satellite modem at the house is not working today and so I am at the office. It may be awhile before I get back on if I can't figure out how to fix it. We all appreciate the job you are doing telling your stories. And it is exciting to hear news from an old friend.
