Spectacular it is, but I'm missing water since I got back into outboards. Krampala is a devilish character who accompanies Nikolaus. St. Nicolaus gives candy to the kids while Krampala scares them and switches their legs with his big broom. This is a remnant of pagan tradition inside Catholicism. In Lutheran Norway, a goat's-head character ran around doing bad stuff on Christmas Eve as late as the 19th century.

ADD: After taking another look, the fire must be in the background and the float pass by. Still....looks pretty amazing.

    Default My American dream!!

Finally..after a trip to Sweden and turning my Dads house up side down I found my letters from OMC.

The OMC letters was the best news in my life back then..(1975)
After a few years as a young hungry struggling boat racer..
OMC and Jack Leek hired me to be one of few paid Boat racers..

Well..I need a scanner and my plan is the let everyone that are interested
to read them here at Boatracingfacts....

A dream came true..I call it..My American dream!!

I start with a Telegram from Beat Jenni 1974..

Default I am a slow starter..

Need a scanner..the OMC letters are the old style really
    thin air mail paper..
Normally a good camera works, but not with this paper..

    Well..the camera works for this...
