    Default Flying Flipper 2 X Evinrude V8 300XP

I found lots of fun stuff on my trip to Sweden a few weeks ago.

This is not a race boat..my pleasure boat 1985 with the two first
    Evinrude V8 outboard in Europe..
Used as a masterboat at the Stockholm GP for F1-V8 1985..
The year the 6 inch mid-sections broke..and the engines where
    flying all over the place..

Yes..Barry Woods was there and lost his engine..but charmed
    all the Swedish blond girls..

    Default Young Guns..

    This makes me happy..

I young Swedish friend of mine Oscar Samuelsson is leading
    the F1 support class F4s.

Oscar has been winning most of the races and are racing this weekend
    again..

I remember when i was in that age..winning is everything
and with some luck Oscar is a future F1 Champ...

He drives a Danish built Mollgard with the Merc 60 Four Stroke.

    Default More OMC letters.

This is from Beat Jenni. He later became the CEO of OMC Belgium
and helped me with lots of racing issues.

    Thanks Mr Jenni.

You are correct on both. It had to be '74 or '75. Allan Ya is the other blue jacket. He sponsered Tommy Posey and Bobby Witt. I think he had something to do with Johnny Sanders also before he married mcCunes daughter.

    Default Your story

    Lars:
I just finished reading you entire thread. I don't know why I haven't seen it before, but it was very interesting. Those were the haydays of outboard racing. I don't believe they will ever come back as there is no money in it for the manufacturs. The current F1 looks to be sponsered by countries or cities trying to get world attention. The offshore guys seem to be a write off for big corperations.
    Anyway, enjoyed the stories.

    Thanks a lot John,

There is plenty of more stories..after my year with Volvo Penta/König (1977) I came back home again.. to OMC and Evinrude.
4-5 years in the OE-F-3 class with help from OMC and Ric McChesney.
Than a few years in the F1-V8 circus..

I have a plan to do all those memories in English also and put them here at
    Boatracingfacts.

Well..do you remember the white Swedish clogs with the Evinrude loggo..??
    Came from me..
I gave Ziggy a pair..but he could not walk in those shoes..
