It was a great time to be young and a boat racer. Actually, anytime is great to be young and a boat racer, the Havasu Outboard World Championships was AMAZING...With current Federal land laws, Havasu would never have become a city. Boat Racing may never see an OUTBOARD race like Havasu again.

I did not get the opportunity to race the Havasu Outboard World Championships so when we started to travel the USA in a motor coach
Lake Havasu City-Needles,CA to see Jimbo was on top of the list.
