Well, I do not know the roles for mod 50,
but OE/F3 was more or less everything is free, but max
    850 cc.

Including a photo about our OE/F3 competition, as an Evinrude driver.
The white boat # 1, is me.

Konig also used a 8 cyl. OE/F3, a 350cc hydro engine bolted on top of a 500 cc
    hydro engine.

Really fast and the only way to fight back, was to try to spray them
down in the turns or at the start.

    PS.
I did see your question about my F1 V8 engine, and my answer next

Default I was asked if I raced the fuel injected F1 V8, by tthibodaux

    The aswer is No.

I raced close to two full seasons in F1 V8. Here in the USA also
1983 and 1984 but no fuel injection then.

Came 1985 with the new really short midsection, that broke in half
    at a few races.

I tested that engine, but all my F1 V8 racing stories is coming up later
    and there is many.

Here is a few photos from Stockholm 1983

    Hi Lars,

You are right, all those big events seem to have vanished these days. Rouen must be just about the last survivor of the traditional great European races.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your racing in the UK. I'm very much looking forward to hearing more stories about your racing with some of those drivers you listed.

I found a couple of photos showing the Nottingham venue you mentioned, they are just national events and probably 2 different years, mid 80's and perhaps very early 90's.

One more good thing with the Race in Nottingham was that
    John Player Special (JPS)
was close by and the PR girls......
dated one for a long time

I am looking at the photos, and boat # 52 must be John Hill.

Default Lasse Ström Marine, the # one Evinrude dealership

1975 was the year when I started my Evinrude dealership just outside Stockholm, very close to
    where I grow up.
Tollare was the name of this old waterfront factory and my sales and service was in the lower part
    of that big building.

There was also lots of space outside for storage of boats for the wintertime.

The local news papers wrote about my Racing every week, and my Evinrude place become
a top dealer within a year.

For me Racing was a perfect way to sell outboards and service.
    Racing success sell outboards and
my dealership is a good example.

"Win on Sunday sell on Monday" worked for me, and I could use my dealership to put
pressure on OMC to get the Racing support I needed.

Late in the seventy's I bought Melins Motor in Stockholm, one of the better Evinrude dealerships with a very good location for sales.

Sweden use to be a really good market for outboards and I sold mainly bigger outboards, way bigger
than the average dealer in Scandinavia.

I also made a deal with a larger supermarket chain ( OBS ) and sold them lots of outboards, and I was responsible
for all the warranty and service.

This made me in to the largest OMC dealer in Scandinavia and later on in the world, by exporting
    back to the USA.!!!

I am not ready to tell that story yet, but later.

An old customer sent me this flyer I made for the start of my business.

Default Swedish and Scandinavien News papers

This is a full page in "Aftonbladet", nationwide like USA Today.
Makes it a lot easier to get customers to your dealership.

The story is being a World Champ and selling outboards!!!

Good spot Lars, that is John Hill in the 1st Nottingham photo.

Here's a closer shot of him in the same boat.
