    Default Regular tach hook up

I run a Merc 25 on my little toy boat using a regular tach and a battery from an old drill. Takes two wires: the kill wire on the black box is one feed, with ground the other. Select "4 cylinder/ 4 stroke" on the tach and away you go! The drill motor battery (14 volts) lasts for months IF I remember to shut it off! (Ah-hem.)

As far as a water pickup Ive got this on my play hydro..

its an SS elbow [$-ouch] into the waterpump plenum, many hrs of fun on that, never an overheat. Convenient that the OMC has a reverse auxillary inlet plate. The exhaust tube has a pitot also but wasnt quite enough as their not supposed to steam

    Default Play Hydro?

Can you post more pictures of your play hydro??

Seems this looks like one of Ted May's water pick ups he used on Don Johnson's boat and on Eric Nordskog's....(They got DQ'd but worked great..)..
