    Clocwise: 1. Hydro pits in the 70,s
    2.Dilly Dally' 350 c.c. Anzani powered three pointer driven by Don Davy of Great Yarmouth.
    3.Tord Rossen of Sweden at full speed in the 1968 International.He held the lap record with Doug Willey and Artur Zartmann of Switzerland .. all breaking it at this fantstic meeting.
    4.The first catamaran to race at Oulton Broad - 1968- The Mercury powered Schulze of Patrick Atkinson
    5.Toby Sutton's "ROOSTER" was built in 1953 by Albatross Marine to a Ventnor design powered by a Wayne Chevrolet engine. Toby raced it regularly until the tragic night in 1960 when the boat exploded and became an inferno.
    'Rooster' held the lap record from 1953 to the mid 1960s and was ahead of it's time.
    The aluminium hull has been restored and is now on display at the National Motorboat Museum Pitsea, Essex.

    1.One of the most successful Club drivers of all time! Alan Darby raced from pre war to the late 1960's.
    3.Geoffrey Watling's Symphony I dont know anything about this one.
    3.Home built 'Do-ey' with a Ford 10hp engine was a good example of inboard racing in the 1950's.
    4.Barracuda - Harmer Copeman built this unusual three pointer inboard, later campaigned by Jimmy Cross.

    Ive never seen that hydro, but we had a spectacular roll from a 700cc laydown on thursday evening. Boat and driver coming through OK.

    No Paul, I never raced at Nottingham. My last race was in Berlin 1981 at the Spandau race course. Ralph Donald or Joe Rome may have some answers as to any Americans that raced there. They along with Tim Butts and Harry Bartolomei were at Nottingham. Don't know how many times Ralph may have raced there.

    Back to the states. Here are some AOF races from Marine Creek Lake near Fort Worth in 1978
    The one in the corner in what looks like DMH or EMH, the boat that looks like it is making room on the inside and really freaking the guy on the outside out is my dad. Boat number was US1 I believe. Lyle Mason
