many thanks for these information, but The race of 24 hours of rouen is under UIM control, and I must run with "standart "engine, no free engine...with all modification allowed....

I need "only" more 25/30hp with 500/1000 rpm, and so modify the oil deliver volum control of the Di Oiler?I need more lubrification during the 2 straight line (1800meters)with full rpm to avoid the damage engine.

    some ideas?

To looseunit55, Greg owns seaway marine and is contactable thru his web site at sea-way.com. he is a nice guy and will be able to help you with the fly wheel. cheers.

To inshoreracer, If you are running an 01-03 DI then you can insert a restrictor in the oil return line. This will increase the oil pump pressure. If you want to test this pressure the best way is to use the pressure switch port and make up an adaptor, this is a 1/4" push in fitting as used by most pneumatic companys. You need to push the collar away from the switch and pull the switch down to remove. The engine will run 30psi under normal operation, but pulses up to 54psi to close the pressure switch. With the gauge fitted you can slowly crimp the return line and watch the pressure rise you can insert a restrictor and drill out to reach 40psi (this does use more oil and smokes a little) this should be good for durability on the straights. More oil can give you more revs as well but only testing will tell that. If you are running an E-Tec then the only way is to set the oiling system to XD50 and run XD100 oil. This gives more oil through the rev range but does not change the oiling above 5000rpm as they automaticly increase the oil quantity at that point. This will work well as the weakest point on these engines is the high load medium rev area. Hope this helps.
    Cheers DSE

Sorry inshoreracer forgot th mention you need to place a jump wire across the loom side of the switch plug as the no oil alarm will go off. Please ensure to reinstall the switch system once you have tested it and reached 40psi or the no oil will not operate. Cheers DSE

To give you the simplest solution I need to know model number of engine as I am not sure if you are running an E-Tec (2005-2008) or older DI engine (2000-2004). It should start with E225 or E250. Cheers DSE

sorry for the long delay for answer.
I will use a DI, not an ETEC.

I don't know if I use a 3l or a 3.3l What do you think about this choice?

Hi there, If you can get a 2004 3.3ltr DI that would be the best to use, as a few more cc's are always good out of the corners and they pull the same revs as the 3.0ltr in standard form. You will need to increase the oil pressure to ensure medium rev high load area is covered. If you have a good BRP workshop near you they should be able to follow the previous instructions on how to do this. You can also increase the spring tension in the oil return line back pressure valve, but I haven't used this method myself. and drilling a restrictor is easier and faster when testing to get the pressure right. Hope this helps DSE.
