    Default Evinrude 25hp

hey guys i got a old 25 hp OMC that i picked up at a garage sale for 2 bucks so thats likw 50 cents in US dollars at the moment hahahaha!

il take a picture of it for you guys and hopefully we cvan identify it it has a pretty knackered lower unit so i will probly have to get a lower unit and there is issues with the coil wiring like ummm no wires go to the coil so has a slight spark issue!

it is the electric start model and all that but i will try and take pics today!

Depending on how old, theres the 22ci from way back, up to 76. Early ones had the coils under the flywheel at least till 72. These are fairly quick motors. The 31.8ci from then on, CD ignition, very similar big version - closer to bullet proof but only a little faster as well as heavier.

What you have is a 22ci 25 from 76 or older. These are raced here in B1 mod hydro, set up with a tuned megaphone & a Champ Hot Rod or Merc AB foot.
I wouldnt be surprised if that foot still works

do you know if anyone has a online workshop manual or something for it as it doesnt run and it seems im missing a few wires that go to the coils and stuff like that!

and when you say B1 Mod hydro do you mean modified engione what sort of mods do they do to these engines?

Im not sure of all you can do to modify but a CD ignition from a 9.9/15 can be adapted & carb has to remain stock. Yours is an improved version, the coils arent under the flywheel.
The manuals are available, maybe ebay or you can go to -BRP parts catalogues- to get expolded views of any part of it.
It wont be very fast on its own lower unit but even stock it will come alive on a small race foot. The coils are easy,, primary wire, plug wire, ground & if theres another itll be the kill sw. wire.

Theres several considerations, Merc AB, Champ Hot Rod or whatever else is B1 legal. If your thinking "play motor" Id go with a Yamato foot. Buying a foot in good shape, adapting it w/all said & done probably between 500 to 800 $s. Alot for an old motor but once you get a mid & lower drive unit set up you can swap powerheads easily.

Has anyone got a PDF work shop or parts manual for this engine?
