Default So I buy this boat

So I go buy this Allison with twin F2's on it, nice boat but who's was it? I think Louis Collins bought it off Ebay like 8 yrs ago cuz there was one for sale on there then, but, who raced it and where.

The boat number that was on it 866 seems to not ring anyones bell and maybe its because it was a NOA or AMRA number, so anuone know anything about it? I was told it may have belonged to Lanny Loman?

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Darris probably knows. Call and ask. If nothing else, they could look up who they sold it to originally.

I asked, and yes it was owned by Lannie Lohman/Loman of Southern Ohio.
    Enjoy!

    Bill,

Regarding those brass props of yours....

Could this be the boat they came from? This is the only yellow fiberglass boat I could find in my brothers slide collection. I'm pretty sure this was Havasu Classic 1970. The notes with it say "Johnny Adair Seattle WA" but that info was gathered by looking in old Havasu programs and matching up the numbers. So I can't be certain that's correct.

Just realized that can't be the boat.....the other (Joe Fielder's) was the big Molinari with the full rear cowl...

I'll go check the slides again...

When looking at the slide, at first I couldn't tell that it wasn't a twin -- thought this one (far side) might be it....obviously it's not....
My brother took some cool pics, though. Color slides were pretty rare back in those days....

Thanks, Val, I'm trying to get ahold of Lannie if someone has his info, I have started the resto on the boat seeing I didn't get it here before the ice came.

Lucky thing for that twin rig, there was gas in the bilge, the starboard fuel pump is broken and at least a foot of the battery cables are bare, they are dry rotted and the insulation just falls off, why it didn't burn is beyond me.

I don't think that is the tunnel boat from what Butler said, as well, the motors that came up with it had stacks on it, I ended up with the stacks, centers, lowers, and props.
