From what I remember there was no SST-60 at nationals few years ago, that would touch that rig…..he was so much faster that it was never a contest.

Apparently, you're not looking for a boat to race?

    Default Memories Are Funny...

John Woods and I ate corn at DePue, 1966..and laughed like hellbecausw he told me to be sure and chew my corn...Well, 43 years later I never eat corn without telling evryone who will list to be sure to chew your corn...

Of course, I can't remember what TV show I was watching last night...couple of pretty women....OH, I remember, "Are you Smarter that Fifth Grader?"

I hang out with a crowd full of 21' Allisons, an 18' Mirage, and a few other fast hulls. At 14' and 75mph it is quite a task to keep up when the playing starts. And it always does. Just changing to a SST60 hull with my 90 would put me to 85mph. This with some T&T and seat time could possiably see 90mph. But at any rate at 85 I would be further up the pecking order than I am now. I have NO interest in going bigger with the engine. I like being the underdog. No way to loose. If I was fast with a 200 who would care? Right now, too even hang with these guys, and whip a few of them is awsome. The SST60 hull would step me up quite a few spots

Running around strapped into a capsule boat with no divers or experienced help nearby is a good way to drown yourself. Especially if you think you're going to run an SST-60 hull over 90mph, which it should easy do all strung out on a long straight run.

Do this without experience is signing your own death wish. I hate to say so but its true. I was in the same boat once and Im glad I was talked out of running without people around who had the proper experience to come to my rescue. Its not like an open boat where you could get thrown out. Its risky and its your life.

the guys are right, i run the boat in my avatar to 75mph, had it 6 years, only ever hung it up twice, that was december just gone, i was only doing around 30mph, was rough came to the turn bouy and the wind picked it up as i went over a small wave/roller... and i still didnt feel scared even when it happened again the next lap.

so i also now have an F3/SST60.. and yeh taking that out the first time not even going fast or that.. being strapped in and all yeh your on your own! they're defintely not the sort of boat you just take cruising with your mate!
