    Default East Coast Boat Racing Club of NewJersey Schedule and Classes

    This is great East Coast racing and if you’re in the area of these race sites and enjoy good racing, you shouldn’t miss it.


    2009 East Coast Boat Racing Club of New Jersey Schedule and Classes

    All local races are run on Sunday. Boats and drivers must arrive at the race site before 10:00 AM. Racing begins at 12:00 Noon and finishes at approximately 4:00 PM.

    A typical OPA/ECBRC weekend begins with a Parade/ Party on Friday night. Saturday is racing for ECBRC and testing for OPA. Sunday is racing for both ECBRC and OPA.

    Bring the entire family for a great day of ECBRC and OPA racing.

    ECBRC Classes

    1. Stock Garvey - Garvey hull with Americans made small block V8 not exceeding 315 cid with a 2 barrel carburetor.

    2. Super-Stock Garvey - same as Stock with a 4 barrel carburetor .

    3. Modified Garvey - Garvey hull with American made small block V8 not exceeding 358 cid with max 750 carburetor.

    4. Extreme Garvey - Garvey hull with American made V8. No turbochargers, superchargers or injection. Single carburetor only. Big Blocks are allowed.

    5. Unlimited Ski Boats - Ski Boat hull with American made V8. No turbochargers, superchargers or injection. Single carburetor only. Big Blocks are allowed.

    6. Super-Stock Jersey Skiff - Jersey Skiff hull with American made small block V8 not exceeding 315 cid with a 4 barrel carburetor.

    7. Modified Jersey Skiff - Jersey Skiff hull with American made small block V8 not exceeding 375 cid with max a 750 carburetor.

    Races are run on an oval track approximately 1/4 mile in length. Three (3) laps are run for standard races and five (5) laps for Championship events and exhibitions.

    APBA Skiffs are grandfathered into the ECRBC rules and are allowed to race with us.
