? not sure ware you went David L-6, but if ya read this thread, you can dig out all the mods that work, how much hp with in like 5hp with said mods, just cuzz it looks like all that don't mean it is. gots to run

Sorry guys. It is a discussion about 3 Cys OMC's and those twin Anthony builds. It discusses potential modifications, within the rules of certain racing organizations, that will work. it did get a little off topic, and I apoligize. This is Fred's thread.

I guess my passion for boat racing allows me to run off topic when I see something I feel strongly opposed to.

Anyone can make a 56 CI engine go fast without rules and wildcat racing, or lake racing. To make a 49CI OMC 3 CYL go fast within rules and within the costs of the average person is a feat. Give me an unlimited budget and I bet we could see 115MPH easy with the 49.9 CI three banger. That is kind of my point.

Back to Freds Thread. If Anthony or anyone wants to post more on this off topic discussion, PM me, or start a new thread. Anthony, should you choose to answer the one question posed about payment vs time of delivery of promised product, just PM me or post it in a new thread. I am sure there are some who would like to know.

anyone know why the wiseco pistons keep cracking the lower skirts by the port window??/ have tried lots of different clearances and still brake hec even others here have same prob and also noticed some stock omc pistons cracked also?? rod length or??? is there a fix????

Sounds like slapping from timing or too loose in bore. Dave

mmm had new bores we all brake them there 6 of us raceingthe motors here,,,, had to wiseco specs and tighter and looser m?? timeing we all time different from about 16 degg to 22degg,,,, stock is 16 and 19 degg..

" my boat is to fast" not a problem i've ever had, and or would or will ever have. thats just not for me. so my self i can not help you, seems like some ideas were said.
