    30kg=65 pounds
    Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.

    any mods...........then port it, shave the head, replace the restrictive reed setup and bolt on a bigger carb, then add some pipes, etc.........

    This reminds me of the ol' RB (restricted B) days in the PRO division. Remember how fast they could get the Yamato 80 going? Mod the heck out of the motor, run it on methanol, and it would run around 80mph!

    Daren,
    looks like Merc clamps too, the old model 80 clamp brackets only allowed an inch or so of jack up. You can go almost 2 inches with Merc barackets

    I used Merc clamps because they were cheaper and easier to use and allowed the powerhead to be lowered a little more than the Yamato clamps would allow...........plus, I gotta have something "MERC" in it............
