i've never seen one, unlike the Mod50 (FR-19s) which has a "Owners manual and
Parts catalog" the SST60 (SSTE-13A) its just a parts catalog. if it was mine i'd turn it at 8000rpms

Straight from the OMC sst60 operation and maintenance manual.....

Full Throttle Operating Range 7000 to 7500 RPM

I'm not saying I agree or disagree, just what the book says.

My manual #433478 has over eighty pages. Spec listed is 7,800 +- 100 rpm. Formula One V8 was only motor requiring connecting rod replacement. Suggest you ask guys running SST60 for their experience. MJ

The rods do not need to be replaced, I have never seen a 60 rod break, there was some trouble with the old style bearing cages, but never with the rods.

even heard some tails of 9000+rpms maybe, maybe not,
about 8000rpms she'll start to over run the ports, power will fall off, but she may still be makin enough power to carry the low tunnel hull, bring her head on into the wind

    USD30 plus postage
I guess if they put a bit more effort into their web site with all the stuff they have they might sell a bit more?
They must spend a lot of time answering the phone and emails.
Great service though, it went out as soon as I ordered it.
