    Default johnson prop

I have a 1957 johnson sea horse 18hp electric start, where might I find a prop that would give me more top end over my stock one which seems kinda fishing oriented. I am going to put this motor on my hydro until I can afford a racing motor someday. Thanks

Michigan Prop made some AJ series 2 blade props that would be better than that 3 blade set of paddles it comes with. Also if you can find or have a damaged prop that fits, cutting out the inner hub to adapt to a right hand speed prop, 12 or 13 pitch would work, good for some mph's. As is you can expect it to run mid 20s, 25+ if its optimal & the props 11P or more.

    Default prop

Well the one i have is an 11 pitch. It will be interesting to see what i get out of it for MPH. I may have to make something.... It looks like it would not be to hard to convert another prop.

At least it aint a 10 or 9, the 11 s not bad. I got lucky several years ago & got an ebay prop, 13.5P x 9 SS 2 blade race prop.. a 'righty'. I put a hub in like I wrote, It went well

By eye Id guess its a 10 or 11 pitch. If it had complete #s it could be looked up on the AOMCI prop guide. Problem is if its 11 or less you wont gain. Id try the lead Mr. Gohr offered, at least then you might have a choice of pitch/dia.
