    Default Phil Percival

    http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forum...ead.php?t=6191

I was reading the Jeff Titus thread, when Southwind Boats "POPPED" up. Phil is a great mold "TOOLER".. He tooled most of Sleek Craft boats,Southwind Boats, the GMT MOD VP boats, several Halletts, made the Conquest Deck Boat and has worked for Karl Koster for the past many years..

Phil was CEO or Kaama Sterndrives, Betty Cook's business, the last few years before Betty died from cancer.

I was talking to Phil yesterday, September 17, 2009, and he told me the Sleek Craft MOD VP was completely build by him before Bruce Nescher, of Sleek Craft boats ever saw it. Phil said Bruce loved it from the start.

ADD: Karl Koster was building 35 boats A DAY before the economic down turn. His shops are closed right now!

Phil has a great eye for design!

Default Karl Koster a name from the past

Someone needs to get Karl on BRF. He could tell some great boat racing stories. I remember Karl when he had his Sun Fun store in the San Jose area.

    Default Great Idea!

I will call him and see if I can get him interested. Karl was running Kal Kustom, a 30 foot Shadow Cat with two 300 Merc on the sponsons and a 2.4 EFI in the tunnel. He kept blowing the middle motor. I made my first Race FOUR blade for Karl to use on the middle motor. Seemed to work great. It gained speed and increased the middle engine's life..
